Job was a man who suffered more trouble than most, and his name has become a synonym for suffering, but in the middle of his troubles, and a few hundred years before Christ walked this earth, this was his statement…

‘For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that at the last he will stand upon the earth; and after my skin has been destroyed, then in my flesh I shall see God’

A promise fulfilled, and yet to come.

  1. Job is an excellent example of faith. Despite all of his suffering he never lost his faith in Jehovah God’s goodness. His example shows us that God is not going to shield us from hard times, but he will always provide us with the strength needed to get through them.

  2. Martha used similar words when speaking about her brother Lazarus.
John 11:24. Their hope was in a future resurrection. One that would occur on the last day. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 shows we are living in that time. It’s soon to be here. And all suffering will soon end. Revelation 21:3-4. I hope these bring some hope and joy to you this morning 🙂
